Apparently even in all my infinite wisdom, I'm capable of making mistakes - I should have posted ADC's comments on the top and bottom three in the results post. Here they are:

While this is one of the easier songs to work with, you still need to be a talented designer to [timgunn]make it work[/timgunn] and this exceeds all expectations. It obviously ties into the lyrics without being costumey. Since British people don't give compliments and I only have good things to say about this, I'll move on.

Considering the song "found my coat and grabbed my hat", it was a shame to go with a bare dress, but the dress is well-constructed enough that I can't really bitch too much about it straying from the song. I'm not 100% sold on having a 20s flapper fit for a 60s challenge either, but the footwear's excellently chosen enough that it doesn't look too dated.

I personally felt this was one of the hardest songs to pull off - short of doing a mourning veil or a vicar's outfit, you'd probably be stuck with an incredibly dowdy miserable piece.

Having such a pixie-doll model to carry off the look certainly makes it look more like it belongs in the period than it might otherwise. But I'm glad that someone went for more of a beatnik-meets-new-emo style, since there's more to the 60s than hippies.

So, gj, even though the pocket looks a bit like a tube of toilet paper.

It's a song about the sun, we get a summer floral dress, with flowers on the shoes. No points for subtlety. I would have liked to have heard an explanation for the layering - the green looks a little like mouldy lettuce. This is the "safest" dress in the collection, which is a big disappointment from someone with immunity.

SFGP

The unexplained Asian influence is confusing and hurt by the strange proportions (the cheongsam-esque top expanding far over her waist?). Yema's dress made green look good, this makes it look kinda vomitty, especially the sleeves.

Thinga

Helter Skelter = glam? Really? "One of [the] fiercest and most brutal rockers done by anyone" With the Manson connection (and, hell, the U2 connection)? Glam?

The alien sunglasses, microshorts and garish yellow give it a bad 80s cable-access workout show vibe. The cut on the shorts is pornographic (srlsly, that line goes right into her hooty-hoo). The pocket looks like a bandaid. The Jason and the Argonauts shoes are just outright bizarre. The criss-cross fabric in the mid-riff makes no sense for an outfit that looks clearly comprised of two separate pieces (how would you even put it on if they were connected?) Anyone wearing it wouldn't be "heltering and skeltering", they'd be "sheltering" themselves from abuse from fashion critiques with eyeballs.

Is the radioactive very late 70s background supposed to distract everyone from the fugliness of the outfit?

My criteria were how it was linked to the song OR how 60s it looked OR how aesthetically pleasing it was, and this was the only outfit to bomb in all three categories.

But Paris just isn't Paris without a melty eye. That's why I had to edit in the first place, to bring it closer to her true likeness.

That jacket's not as pukey as Nick indicated though.
